When General Lew Wallace was Territorial Governor of New Mexico on one of his trips south he stayed at the CHAMBON HOTEL. This is where he also wrote much of his book"BEN HUR".
The name changed when the new owners took possession of the hotel.
The drug store was a part of my space when I was a lad, for there were favorite places to buy sweets, here at Park Drugs, Pettys Confectionery, and Mundy.
